Overkill

In a future where there is no civilization, in a world where society has collapsed, you are a mercenary who fights to survive. You have been hired to destroy pretty much everything in sight and for every enemy you shoot and for everything you blow up you earn money. You can then use that money to upgrade your existing weapons and to purchase new ones.

There are plenty of weapons to use – 18 in all as a matter of fact, including my favorite, the AK-47. With the money you earn fighting against the enemies you can purchase all of the 18 weapons and you can upgrade them. There are plenty of upgrade options just as there are plenty of weapons to chose from. There are plenty of enemies to try them on as well.

When you start out you are a lowly soldier. But as you play through the game and prove that you are a hardcore mercenary that can stand up against the most difficult of enemies, you will be rewarded for your efforts. You will be promoted all the way up to General and you will unlock achievements (more than 80 achievements to be more precise).

It will not cost you a thing to get the Overkill game and play it on your iDevice. This doesn’t mean that you won’t have to part with your money. Some powerful weapons and upgrades are locked and you can unlock them via an in-app purchase. Or you can earn Overkill Medals and use them to unlock things.

The concept behind the Overkill game is simple; shoot everything in sight. The fact that there are plenty of weapons to use, plenty of achievements to unlock, that you can be promoted, that you have plenty of enemies to shoot, and the fact that it looks quite nice, all these elements make Overkill a properly good and entertaining shoot’em up game.
